Millwright – Continental Rotating

Our client, a manufacturing leader in stone wool and building insulation, is looking for a talented Millwright to join their plant in Milton.

The incumbent will be mainly responsible for reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment and systems, More specifically, he will troubleshoot, repair, clean, prepare, adjust, program and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical components under his or responsibility. The incumbent will also be involved in part supply, training of operators, reporting, housekeeping, and machine operation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Certified Millwright, is an asset

·        CWB (Canadian welding Board) member will be an asset.

·        Technical or College Diploma in Industrial mechanic

·        Safety oriented

·        Excellent at reading electrical ladder diagram (An asset)

·        Excellent problem solving skills

·        Excellent teamwork skills

·        Demonstrated skills in industrial mechanic (hydraulic and pneumatic), and welding

·        Capability to read, count and write without difficulty.

PLC, logic, sensors and other electronic devices is a strong asset.

Experience and qualification :

Experience on industrial mechanics, pneumatic, hydraulic,  and other devices is an asset. Personal Qualities: Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, communication, job planning and organizing.

  • Hold a valid Ontario Millwright Licence 433A.
  • Minimum of Grade 12 education with post-secondary education in a mechanical or technical field.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of valid heavy industrial experience and/or completed an Apprenticeship program in Canada. A college degree will be an asset.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, making informed decisions to ensure safe operations.
  • Willingness and availability for overtime work on short notice.
  • Collaborative team player, working closely with other trades and contractors when necessary.
