Our client, a leader in the production of masonry products is looking for a talented machine operator to join their organization.

The main job functions for this position are:

  • Set up the block machine depending on the products being made
  • Doing all the troubleshooting and problem solving if the equipment
  • Completes quality and production reports and other reports as it may be requested
  • Ensures that raw material are available and in bins/silos when required
  • Maintains quality control of the curing of the product
  • Communicates any abnormalities or faulty situations in regards to the product, batch, quality, machine, equipment, workplace or other
  • Trains and coaches employees
  • Keep his work area and toolbox clean and participates to different departments housekeeping
  • Abides by all safety rules and policies
  • Operating the cuber, strapper, packaging line
  • Operate automatic tumbler, reckers machines and other line sorting
  • Participates in maintenance work and mould changes
  • Performs preventative maintenance (aligning, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, inspecting, dismantling, making adjustments, replacing parts, cleaning and lubricating, welding, cutting etc), adjustments for machine start up
  • Operates equipment related to the machine
  • Operates in a safe manner as per company policies
  • Quality control on finished goods
  • Discard rejects into scrap bin 5-40 lbs
  • Filling out paperwork as per company requirement
  • Operating the line exiting the curing room
  • Forklift driving finished goods to yard
  • Cleaning, sweeping, shoveling, general housekeeping
  • Performs all other tasks as may be requested by the supervisor

Schedule: Monday to Friday Afternoon Shift, 12 – 10pm

Salary: $24 – $26 an hour ​
