Our client, leader in the concrete and masonry product industry located in the Bolton area is looking
for a talented machine operator to join their organization.


  • – Operating the cuber, strapper, packaging line
    – Operate automatic tumbler, reckers machines and other line sorting
    – Participates in maintenance work and mould changes
    – Performs preventative maintenance (aligning, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, inspecting, dismantling, making adjustments, replacing parts, cleaning and lubricating, welding, cutting etc), adjustments for machine start up
    – Operates equipment related to the machine
    – Completes quality and production reports and other reports as it may be requested
    – Ensures that raw material are available and in bins/silos when required
    – Maintains quality control of the curing of the product
    – Communicates any abnormalities or faulty situations in regards to the product, batch, quality, machine, equipment, workplace or other
    – Trains and coaches employees
    – Keep his work area and toolbox clean and participates to different departments housekeeping
    – Abides by all safety rules and policies
    – Operates in a safe manner as per company policies
    – Quality control on finished goods
    – Discard rejects into scrap bin 5-40 lbs
    – Filling out paperwork as per company requirement
    – Operating the line exiting the curing room
    – Forklift driving finished goods to yard
    – Cleaning, sweeping, shoveling, general housekeeping
    – Performs all other tasks as may be requested by the supervisor
    – Gets the machine system ready, set efficiently, operates and maintains the line efficiently and ensures good function

    Shift work, 10.5/11 days on a 4 day schedule. Rotating every 2 weeks between days and night. Lots of opportunity for overtime

Education: Grade 12 diploma. A combination of specific knowledge and experience may be considerate to select candidate.
Must read, write and count. Good knowledge for the use of computer.
Must know how to read and write in English
PLC, logic, sensors and other electronic devices is a strong asset.
Experience : Experience on industrial mechanics, computer, PLC, logic, sensors and other electronic devices is an asset.

Personal Qualities: Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, communication, job planning and organizing. Good coordination, manual dexterity and ability to visualize a layout in 3D. Team work oriented; initiative; responsible; able to react, be precise; methodical and organized. Capacity to safely physically handle weight up to 30kg. Judgement Learning aptitude and communication aptitude. Excellent attendance record. Work as a team.

RRSP/DPSP matching up to 4% after 90 day probation
Medical, vision, dental insurance after 90 day probation, details can be discussed with candidate, not fully covered. Mandatory if not covered by another group
Vacation: less than 1 year, 1 day/month, max 10 days, 4%
1 – 4 yrs: 2 weeks 4%
5 – 9 yrs: 3 weeks 6%
10 – 19 yrs: 4 weeks 8%

Start date: ASAP

Type of employment: Full Time

To begin, employee would remain on days until training is complete.
Before hiring, complete a pre-employment medical screening.
Probation period with company 90 days
