Electrical Designer
The Electrical Designer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for new data center construction projects as well as existing projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical engineering and design principles, as well as several years of experience in design consultation for building electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical designs for new projects and renovate existing projects as needed.
- Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Prepare reports and calculations for loads, cables, etc.
- Liaise with energy providers, such as Hydro-Québec, for power upgrades.
- Other assigned responsibilities.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel to Israel, the United States, Canada, and the European Union may be necessary to visit sites and take on-site measurements.
Profile:
- Fluency in French and English preferred.
- Good knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as IEEE, CBC, RBQ, etc.
- Member of OIQ, PEO, PE, or other engineering regulatory body.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mission-critical design is considered an asset, particularly experience in health, utilities, or defense sectors.
- ASP construction safety certification or willingness to undergo training.
- Ability to obtain reliability security clearance from the federal government.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
