Our client, a leader in the food industry is looking for a talented lead electrician to join their operations in Mississauga.
The Lead Electrician is responsible for maintaining electrical, mechanical, and other related systems. The Electrician must be prepared to work as a team member, follow all safety and food safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat in a manufacturing environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- PLC and HMI troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment; VFD; Servomotors and control experience.
- Lead electrical team members in daily task and preventative maintence schedule
- Maintain, modify, repair, install, improve, and troubleshoot various type of machinery, and equipment; mixers, depositors, ovens, slicers, conveyors, checkweighers, Flow wrappers, carton formers, printers, sealers, and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical breakdown in the production process to ensure minimal loss in the manufacturing of our products.
- Perform all planned maintenance and safety inspection assigned in a timely manner and document actions in CMMS.
- Assist in the installation of any new equipment in the facility.
- Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance.
- Assist in the ordering of electrical components and maintaining the inventory of critical electrical parts.
- Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
- Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production and bakery equipment.
- Ensure that work area is always clean of debris and hazards and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
