Warehouse Supervisor - Night Shift

Job Overview: Our client, in the food industry, is seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly adaptable Night Shift Supervisor to join our warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and leading a team in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on inventory management, operational efficiency, and staff development. This is a critical role for our operations, requiring flexibility in scheduling, forklift certification, and strong leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities: Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of up to 15 employees during the night shift, ensuring high performance and productivity. Scheduling: Develop and maintain the work schedule for the night picking team, adjusting shift times based on business needs. Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts efficiently and safely; maintain certification and proficiency in equipment operation. Inventory Management: Oversee receiving, shipping, and inventory management for both fresh and frozen products. Ensure inventory counts are accurate, and products are properly stored using FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation. Workload Distribution: Delegate tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, adapting to any changes in distribution requirements. Compliance: Ensure adherence to HACCP plant standards, GMP regulations, and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance. Safety Oversight: Enforce and maintain strict safety standards in the workplace, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all employees. Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve operational challenges, leveraging strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Time Management & Organization: Utilize excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure smooth operations. Physical Requirements: Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and handle the physical demands of the position. Qualifications: Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role, ideally in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Forklift certified with proven ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train a diverse team. Experience in inventory control and knowledge of FIFO product rotation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and responsibilities, with flexibility to work nights (excluding Saturdays). Ability to work independently, make quick decisions, and maintain high levels of productivity. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
