The mechanical engineering technician, more specifically, is responsible for supervising staff, production and quality planning, and technical programming in machining
production and quality planning, and technical programming in machining.
He/she is responsible for training, supervising and coaching production personnel.
He/she will participate in the improvement of the production system. Specific responsibilities:
1. Apply current policies, procedures or rules surrounding the company.
2. Act as supervisor, trainer and technical support to employees and to the supervision of foreign
foreign employees.
3. Active participation in production planning, related issues and emergency management.
4. Active participation in production meetings (when required).
5. Participate in the improvement of the production system.
6. Ensure that machining techniques are put into practice.
7. Enforce health and safety rules and regulations.
8. Act as co-leader of the OHS committee and OHS-related activities. 9. Manage the shipping department and follow up with the customer service agent for shipments
shipments.
10. Carry out personnel evaluations for production and shipping employees.11. Discipline production and shipping employees.
12. Ensure building and machinery maintenance and repairs (preventive maintenance).RequirementsEducation: DEC in mechanical engineering Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in machining and personnel supervision
