Building Electrical Technician

Our client, an engineering consulting firm located in Laval, is seeking a building electrical technician for residential, institutional, commercial, or industrial projects in both private and public sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications provided by other professionals or for reference.
• Design and develop technical plans for electrical distribution systems, emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, and other related systems.
• Survey existing electrical installations and transpose them into plans.
• Perform necessary calculations for various electrical systems.
• Coordinate the integration of electrical installations with those of other disciplines such as mechanical, architectural, structural, civil engineering, and others.
• Review shop drawings submitted by contractors.
• Conduct inspections and prepare lists of work to be corrected or completed.

Profile:

• Must have a DEC in building electricity;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in an engineering consulting firm;
• Excellent knowledge of applicable standards and codes in Quebec;
• Proficiency in AutoCad software, REVIT is an asset;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a team;
• Excellent spoken and written French, English is an asset;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
