Accounting analyst

Manufacturing company in the Rivière du Loup area is looking for a Financial Controller with accounting designation to supervise the accounting team under the direction of the Director of Finance.Our client has several entities in Canada and the United States.
  • Design costing and accounting methods and ensure their application;
  • Analyze daily and weekly production variances, provide feedback, and propose improvements;
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of the annual production budget;
  • Supervise standard product costs and data from systems;
  • Collaborate with managers throughout the group to propose and improve tools enabling them to have a global view of the company's figures;
  • Participate in the implementation of'a new IT system;
  • Collaborate on inventory tracking;
  • Participate in month-ends and year-ends;
  • Work with various operational teams to understand their financial needs and provide them with analyses;
  • Analyze and track the profitability of projects;
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls;
  • Ensure the validity and integrity of financial data;
  • Contribute to the preparation of data required for annual audit and tax returns;
  • Develop financial dashboards.
  • Profile
    • Have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting Sciences;
    • Have more than 3 years'experience in a similar role in the manufacturing sector;
    • Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and integrated information management software (ERP);
    • Excellent analytical skills, your thoroughness and your communication skills;   
    • Have a good ability to build relationships within your team and be a good communicator.
