Our customer, a leading Canadian distributor of CNC equipment, is currently seeking a technical engineer with strong leadership skills to cover the Montreal North ,Ottawa ,Gatineau area.This strategic position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations, based in Toronto, in the Oakville area.Salary: Between $80,000 and $90,000 depending on experience + car allowanceResponsibilities:● Programming, operating and troubleshooting CNC machines.● Answering customer questions about their applications and equipment.● Train new customers and perform demonstrations on applicationsand equipment.● Recommend modifications and improvements on installed equipment.● Document and report work performed.● Ensure the highest level of customer communication and support.● Coordinate with other departments to deliver services and meet deadlines.● Perform other job-related duties as required.Profile

Qualifications:

● Technical education: apprenticeship, college diploma or

university degree in electronics/electrotechnology.

● A minimum of five (5) years'previous experience in

CNC troubleshooting-programming.

● Thorough knowledge of programming "G" code and

CAM software.

● Significant experience with Fanuc, Yasnac, Heidenhain,

Siemens, as well as Mazak and G&D controls.

● Knowledge of high-speed machining processes and experience with

5-axis machining centers, multi-axis lathes, 3-axis milling machines and lathes.

● Ability to travel across Canada, primarily within the province.

● Strong customer service orientation with excellent

interpersonal and communication skills.

● Fluency in French is necessary, and very advanced English is also required.

Compensation: $82,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
