CNC Service Technician - On the road Montreal-Ottawa

Our client, a leading Canadian distributor of CNC equipment, is currently seeking a technical engineer with strong leadership skills to cover the Montreal region as well as the entire province of Quebec. This strategic position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations, based in Toronto’s Oakville area.

Salary: Between $80,000 and $90,000 depending on experience + car allowance

Responsibilities:

● Programming, operation and troubleshooting of CNC machines.

● Answer customer questions regarding their applications and

equipment.

● Train new customers and perform demonstrations on applications

and equipment.

● Recommend modifications and improvements on installed equipment.

● Document and report on work performed.

● Ensure the highest level of communication and customer support.

● Coordinate with other departments for service delivery and

timeliness.

● Perform other job-related duties as required.

Profile

Qualifications:

● Technical education: apprenticeship, college diploma or

university degree in electronics/electrotechnology.

● A minimum of five (5) years’previous experience in

CNC troubleshooting/programming.

● Thorough knowledge of programming “G” code and

CAM software.

● Significant experience with Fanuc, Yasnac, Heidenhain,

Siemens, as well as Mazak and G&D controls.

● Knowledge of high-speed machining processes and experience with

5-axis machining centers, multi-axis lathes, 3-axis milling machines and lathes.

● Ability to travel across Canada, primarily within the province.

● Strong customer service orientation with excellent

interpersonal and communication skills.

● Fluency in French is necessary, and highly advanced English is also required.

Job type: Full-time

Compensation: $82,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
